 Skipping Crazy Crab would be insanity
I grew up going to Hilton Head for family vacations and every single one of those vacations included a dinner at Crazy Crab – until a few years ago. After having a bad food experience there, the family decided there are too many great seafood places in Hilton Head to return to one that didn’t please.
But as fate would have it, we were in Harbour Town over Memorial Day in Hilton Head and had a hankering for some seafood. So Crazy Crab got another chance – and boy am I happy it did. I kicked off my meal with a Bloody Mary made to perfection, which set the mood for a great lunch. Since I wanted something light I went with the Broiled Crab Cakes – amazingly filled with large chunks crab and very little mayo. My husband went with steamed shrimp that tasted like they were right off the boat – which they probably were.
While the food at Crazy Crab is delicious, the décor in the restaurant is also worth noting. My son loved looking at all of the ship paraphernalia – a perfect distraction for him while we all finished our unforgettable meals in Hilton Head.
